Probes
Sampler Probes Model SP & PP

Sampler probes are available in a variety of threaded or flanged connection sizes, probe sizes and
lengths.

For sampling the end of the tube should be set within the centre 1/3rd of the pipeline.

Tube ends can be straight, 45° or 90°. Special purpose ends can be supplied as well.

If the end of the tube has a chamfer or 90° end, the upstream direction of the tube is indicated with an arrow engraved on the upstream side, at the end of the boss.

Specific insertion lengths can be supplied or users can cut the tube to suit the installation. The insertion length can be tagged or engraved on the unit as an option.

Adjustable Sampler Probe Model AP3 & AP4

The adjustable sample probe is designed to be inserted and withdrawn manually into a pressurised pipeline. The depth of insertion can be set at any desired length.

A locking gland once set, locks the probe at a set insertion length. After this has been set the tube can then be retracted by removing the locknut and loosening off the locking gland. For sampling the end of the tube should be set within the centre 1/3rd of the pipeline.

The probe may be inserted with the pipeline under pressure providing the force required to insert the probe is not too great. If the force required is too great it will be impossible to insert the probe under pressure, or there is a danger that the probe could be damaged/bent.

The recommendation is that no more than 30 kg force is used.

Welker Automatic Insertion Probe - Style AIP

The Welker Automatic Insertion Probe is designed for use in pipelines and systems where it is required to insert and retract a probe while the pipeline remains pressurised.

The Automatic Insertion feature allows the operator to control the movement of the probe in and out of the pipeline safely, through the use of 3 hand control valves. The AIP-1 and AIP-2 probes are hydraulically operated, all probes are designed to utilise pipeline pressure for the motivating medium Therefore no manual force is needed and any line pressure up to the rating of the probe may be accommodated.

Probes are available with a range of tube sizes and travels. Travel lengths are field adjustable up to the maximum insertion length.

The AIPP probes feature a return port for a 'Hot Loop' return for the gas. Construction of the probes is all 316 st.st. With Viton, PTFE and Fluorotrel elastomers.

Welker Adjustable Probe with Injection Nozzle AP-3MI

The Welker Adjustable Probe with the injection nozzle (AP-3MI) is designed to insert the chemical injection nozzle into a low pressure pipeline (500 max. psi). For pipeline pigging or for service on the nozzle, the unit can be quickly withdrawn without pipeline operation interruption. The nozzle will disperse the chemical in a more efficient manner than the typical straight tube. The Welker AP-3MI can be used with any chemical injection system. For proper sizing of the nozzle, estimated injection rates should be provided to Welker. The AP-3MI can be inserted through a 1” full open ball valve. A number of nozzle styles are available and can be sized to meet your specific needs. Line pressure, pump pressure and your gpm needs will assure correct nozzle for the application. Specify insertion length (18” - standard).
